Alex (founder, choirmaster)
Alex has been teaching music for over ten years. He studied Classical Piano at Goldsmiths before realising he wanted to pursue a career in songwriting and production. Since graduating with a full scholarship from London Centre of Contemporary Music, Alex has worked as an instrumental tutor, university lecturer. As a writer and producer he has been lucky enough to work with a plethora of artists including Westlife (Number 1 album), Ellie Goulding, Louisa Johnson, Tom Grennan, Ella Henderson, The Vamps and was signed to Sony ATV. He has composed and sang on numerous adverts including Emirates and Motorway.co.uk.
He started Black Cactus Choir in 2022 to combine his skills into a project that gave back to the community and to help spread his love of music.
Alice
Alice is a very talented photographer and creative designer. She runs our social media and designs our marketing materials - she’s also a killer alto! There’s a good chance you’ll see her behind a camera at one of our rehearsals. We couldn’t live without her!
