Welcome to Black Cactus Choir

With over 60 members, we are a fun and modern choir with two locations around Colchester.

Are you looking to meet new people and sing in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere? Are you looking for a new challenge? Maybe you’ve been in a choir before but found it too stringent or weren’t challenged by the ‘unison’ arrangements? Maybe you wanted to rehearse during the day? We may just have the answer for you!

Closing 2023 out in Lion Walk this morning - we had a great time and the choir sounded fabulous. Thanks to all those who stopped to listen and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! ♥️
We had a fab time singing 3 sets in -2 degrees at @jimmysfarm over the weekend… thanks to all those that braved it and especially to Alison for the handwarmers, without which we might have lost a few fingers 🥶
We kicked off our Xmas concert season with a bang! Performing outside @twm_colchester for the Colchester Christmas Fayre. The choir smashed it!
We had an amazing time singing for the residents of the beautiful @alderwoodcarehome this afternoon 🌵💜 well done to all our members for another great performance
We had an AMAZING time singing at the wonderful @fafoutdoorarts festival this morning. Such a nice event and the choir did so well with Mr Blue Sky and Lean on Me - both debuted today. And all without melting!! 😅 now, did somebody say ice cream?🍦#c
